Outside it was the dog days of summer, but inside the Robson Ranch clubhouse on Aug. 4 the members and guests of the Robson Ranch Dance Club were staying cool, casual, and comfortable at the “Party in the Park” while dancing away to the sounds and rhythms of the Roof Raisers band. Upon arrival, our guests were greeted by colorful decorations reminiscent of summer days relaxing at the park. One could almost envision friends together with picnic baskets placed on red checkered tablecloths, enjoying watermelon and frozen popsicles, hot dogs, and chilled wine.
The seven-piece Roof Raisers band with their talented vocalists kept the tunes coming and the crowd dancing throughout the evening. The band even encouraged line dancing, so they could not have been disappointed with the large number of Robson Ranch dancers who welcomed the invitation to fill the dance floor!
While the band rested to prepare for the last half of the evening, our Dance Club Board members held drawings for the highly anticipated door prizes! James Verfurth, restaurant owner, donated gift cards to three different restaurants: Shoal Creek, Lambeau’s, and Verf’s Grill & Tavern. Other generous gift cards were provided by Live Young Wellness Spa, Wally Sagui, Henry Evans, Infinity Nail Bar, and Edible Arrangements. Our lucky winners were Lynn Daugherty, Ann Blum, Paul Gage, Kayla Battistelli, Kyle Minter, Dennis Dotson, Christy Taylor, and Roger Lapp. We would like to give a big thank you to all of our sponsors for their generosity!
