The classic Jack-in-the-box toy from yesteryear has nothing on the Sassy Stamper project card for August. There was much creating going on in Room 104 of the Creative Arts Center on Aug. 20, as Lisa Olson presented her card to another full house of Stampers. The only thing missing was the beautiful aroma of fresh flowers, as we made a pop-up box card with a bouquet of flowers that folded flat for easy mailing.
With much encouragement by the table teachers that this card is not as hard as it looked, it still took some convincing (more to some than others) that they could create a beautiful card, and the possibilities were endless for this card. Lisa, as well as several of the table teachers, brought various themes of what you could do with this card. It was beginning to look like a flower shop of beautiful bouquets by the time the last Stamper left the class.
The business meeting reviewed the latest and future events going on for the Stampers group, such as looking for candidates to fill some upcoming vacancy positions on the board, SOT Christmas card designs are getting ready to be turned in for review, date for the SOT assembly card project, sale/swap meet, and the holiday party in December. The drawing was held for the Hobby Lobby gift card that is given away to all who bring a card for the window. Cards that Stampers made for the next window change were requested to be designed with fall colors.
The Stampers will meet again on Sept. 17, at 10 a.m. All in attendance at the August meeting got a sneak peek into what beautiful card will be presented to us in September. Halloween colors and themed cards were requested to be brought to the September meeting. Stampers, get in that craft/stamp room, get your supplies out, and get busy. Let’s fill next month’s meeting with cards for the October window with some bootiful, ghostly, kooky, spook-tacular and spell-binding cards. You just might be the one who gets the Hobby Lobby gift card.
Make sure you come by the CATC Sassy Stampers window every month and see what we have been up to! For any questions about the Sassy Stampers Club, you may contact Club President Lisa Olson at 817-903-9894 or [email protected].
