The Material Girls of Robson Ranch continue to put their hearts and hands to work for those who need comfort most. With 88 active members, our club brings together women who love creating with fabricwhether quilting, sewing, crafting, or learning new skills. This month, our efforts were focused on a very special delivery to Bob’s House of Hope, a safe home in Justin that provides care and healing for trafficked boys.

Our members completed ten twinsize quilts, each one stitched with love and designed to bring warmth and encouragement to the young men who live there. The quilts feature themes chosen especially for themsports, animals, Texas pride, and fishingpatterns that reflect strength, hope, and the spirit of new beginnings. Every quilt is unique, and every stitch carries the compassion of the women who made them.

In addition to the quilts, the Material Girls also delivered tote bags for each boy. These sturdy, colorful bags will be used when the boys go out for therapy sessions, giving them a place to carry water bottles, snacks, journals, and personal items. The staff shared how meaningful it is for the boys to have something of their own, made just for them.

Bob’s House of Hope incorporates animal assisted therapy into their healing program. During our visit, we were greeted by the resident cat and a very friendly guinea pigboth beloved companions to the boys. We also learned that a new therapy horse will be arriving next week, adding another layer of comfort and connection to their daily routines.

The Material Girls are not only committed to charitable outreach but also to building community within Robson Ranch. The club meets every Tuesday for group sewing dedicated to local charitiesprojects that support veterans, new mothers and babies, families in crisis, and elderly residents in nursing homes. On Thursdays, members gather for open sewing from 8:30 a.m. to noon, followed by lunch together where tips, tricks, and inspiration are shared. At 1 p.m., the club hosts a formal program, which may include a demonstration of a new quilt block, a fabric wreath tutorial, or how to make items such as coin purses or tote bags. Annual dues are just $20, and membership is open to all Robson Ranch residents who enjoy working with fabric at any skill level.

The Material Girls are honored to support organizations like Bob’s House of Hope. As always, we are grateful for the opportunity to use our skills to lift others up, one quilt at a time.
