Ranchers enjoy acoustic guitar performance

Cliff and cousin Steve Hudson

Cliff and cousin Steve Hudson

Cliff Erickson, singer and 12-string acoustic guitarist, was at Robson Ranch on Wednesday, April 23, and a fun time was had by all that attended. Cliff is truly an outstanding performer and sang for almost 2 hours straight. He had audience participation throughout the night; the audience members would call out song titles or artists, and Cliff would sing the song. Tina Turner…not so much!

Cliff talked to the guests before dinner and was very interested in their life stories. One of the many was Frank Freisheim. Per Frank’s request, Cliff played Beach Boys songs taking us all back to the day of fun in the sun and surfing. Cliff later convinced Frank to assist him singing The Lion Sleeps Tonight.

Cliff’s cousin, Steve Hudson, was also in the audience. They told family stories and did several songs together including yodeling. Steve almost stole the show with his singing ability, but Cliff reminded him it was his show! Cliff closed the show with the Star-Spangled Banner, and as with the rest of the show it was an outstanding heart-warming tribute to our country.

Cliff comes to Texas once a year to visit his family and is looking forward to coming back to Robson Ranch. Watch HOA announcements for the next performance date in April 2015.
