Republican Club Accepting Electronic Payments?

Tim McCormick

Yes! The RR Republican Club has stepped into the 21st century and is accepting electronic payments, thanks to our new club management software, which will help us better serve our 800 or so members. We are very excited that people who haven’t been able to come to a meeting now have an easy way to join: Just go to and select that option. You will be able to input your info, pay online, order a name badge, and even purchase a club shirt if you’d like one!

Even better than the online payment system is the fact that the software will allow our members to control their own information regarding what is shared on our site and to have access to a members-only area. We will be able to send targeted communications to our membership so only folks wanting particular information will get it.

You may be asking, “Why would I want to join the Republican Club?” That’s a great question—especially now that the midterms are over.

There’s a short answer and a long one. The short answer is so you can learn how to have a greater impact on where things are going in our city, county, state, and nation. The longer answer is more involved, but interesting just the same.

Sometimes in life we show up thinking we’re prepared for a contest, meeting, sales bid, etc., and leave wondering why we were never even considered, or had a chance. Usually, the answer is that others had the information they needed in order to win that competition.

By joining our Republican Club and attending meetings and events, you will learn what it takes to get elected as a delegate or alternate to the State Convention of the Republican Party of Texas, and even the Republican National Convention. We’ll teach you how to navigate the convention process and how best to work with your legislators and other elected officials to impact the issues that are most important to you and other Republicans.

We bring in monthly speakers, both elected officials and experts on subjects important to our members. You’ll have the opportunity to question your elected representatives face to face, as well as to find out how you can help them. If you become a familiar—and friendly—face, they will be much more likely to work harder for you than for someone they don’t know.

We help you learn about local elections, how a bill goes from an idea into law, international relations, and much more—all for dues of $10 per person per year. And we also have a lot of fun!

If you aren’t a member yet and you are concerned with how things are going in our country, please go to and sign up today. We look forward to welcoming you!
