May 5 Spring Banquet

Amy Enloe

The Republican Club got together for their Spring Banquet on May 5. Over 200 members were in attendance. Everyone was happy to be together again since the last two banquets, May and December of 2020, were of course canceled due to COVID-19.

Our guest speaker, Mr. Ross Perot, Jr., gave us a fascinating history of the growth of AllianceTexas which began in the 1980s. AllianceTexas consists of the development of Fort Worth Alliance Airport and 27,000-acre master-planned, mixed-use community. We also heard the latest information regarding the plans for Hunter Ranch. He spent about 30 minutes answering questions from club members.

Our next get-together will be the Independence Day parade right here at Robson Ranch on July 3. If you would like to participate, we welcome all members. Let’s show our patriotic pride in large numbers this year! Please email Olive for details on how to be a part of this important holiday parade at [email protected].

The Denton County GOP had to postpone their annual Lincoln-Reagan Fundraising dinner and auction from February to this Sept. 18. This event takes place at the Embassy Suites, Denton Convention Center Hotel. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the Silent Auction. Banquet doors open at approximately 6:45 p.m. Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA is one of possibly two keynote speakers. Please note: our local Denton County GOP relies solely on donations. They get no funding from the state nor national GOP. Tickets are $150 per person or a table of 8 for $1,050. Grab your friends and support our local GOP. This will be an evening to remember. For tickets and more information, go to www.dentongop.org.

The Robson Ranch Republican Club welcomes new members. If you would like to become a member or renew your annual membership ($10/person), please email Katherine Vess at [email protected].
