Everyone on the Road Runner trip to Oklahoma City and the Express Clydesdales came back and said, Wow! The horses and the Express Clydesdales were more than impressive. The Oklahoma City Memorial was humbling, and many want to return and visit all the museums again.
In December we have travelers going to Branson for a five-day Christmas trip filled with shows, dinners, and holiday cheer. The Texas Tenors was so popular that we filled two buses for the trip to Grapevine to enjoy the concert and take in the magnificent holiday decorations and dinner. To finish the year, Road Runners is taking a New Year’s Cruise on the Princess Celebration at Sea visiting the Cayman Islands, Roatan, Belize, Costa Maya, and Cozumel—a fantastic way to start out the new year!
On Jan. 28, 2023, the club is going to the Fort Worth Stock Show. This is a yearly trip that sells out, so do not delay signing up. Round trip motorcoach will transport you from the Ranch to the show. There you will enjoy reserved seats at the Fort Worth Pro Rodeo with lunch on your own, plus leisure time after the rodeo. You will have an opportunity to visit the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, and Cattle Raisers Museum. The cost of the show is $139 per person.
Another popular trip for Road Runners is musicals at Bass Hall in Downtown Fort Worth. On May 11, 2023, the club will be traveling to Bass Hall to see Tootsie. Tootsie is a musical comedy based on the 1982 American comedy film of the same name. Like the film, the musical tells the story of a talented but volatile actor whose reputation for being difficult forces him to adopt a new identity as a woman to land a job. The original movie revolved around a daytime soap opera. This show involves a Broadway musical. We only have 30 tickets to the show, so get your tickets before they sell out. The cost of the trip is $179.
