What do the Rocky Mountain National Park, Georgetown Loop Railroad, and the Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad all have in common? They all are stops on the Road Runner trip “Welcome to Colorado” presented by Brandt Travel and Trafalgar on June 3-12, 2023.
* June 3, Denver: Explore Denver on your own with a Reception Dinner to meet fellow travelers.
* June 4, Rocky Mountain National Park: Travel along the Peak Scenic Byway with free time in the evening after checking in to the Hotel Boulderado.
* June 5, Glenwood Springs: Ride on the Georgetown Loop Railroad before arriving at the Glenwood Springs Resort, known for their hot springs.
* June 6, Aspen: Enjoy a walking tour before heading up to Snowmass Mountain on 4WD jeeps.
* June 7, Palisade: It is the peach and wine capital of Colorado. Travel to the Colorado National Monument, and travel on the Rim Rock Drive with panoramic views of the park.
* June 8, Silverton: Travel on the Skyway Scenic Byway and the Million Dollar Highway on your way to the mining town of Silverton. In Silverton you will board the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad before exploring the town that evening.
* June 9, Mesa Verde National Park: Explore the park and Durango before a “Your Choice Dining Option.”
* June 10, Great Sand Dunes National Park: The tour director will guide you to the best places for admiring the dunes before heading out to Colorado Springs for a two-night stay.
* June 11, Pikes Peak: Travel on the Cog Railroad up the summit of Pikes Peak. You will visit the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Museum and the City of Manitou Springs.
* June 12, Garden of the Gods: As a farewell to Colorado, you will visit the park before heading back to Denver and your journey back to the Ranch.
The trip is a wonderful way to see all the beauty and highlights of Colorado without the driving or planning.
