The Road Runners Travel Club’s annual Winter Cruise was Feb. 25 through March 3. This was the largest Road Runners group to date, and what an amazing seven days we had aboard the brand-new Celebrity Ascent ship. This ship was beautiful! Everywhere you looked there were amazing works of art and little details that were a delight to behold! Brandt Travel hosted a cocktail party one evening before dinner for all of the Robson Ranch Road Runners and hosted a dinner for the board members who were traveling as well. Our ports were San Juan, Puerto Rico; Tortola; and St. Kitts. In St. Kitts some of us attended a rum tasting, while others took a train ride and discovered other parts of the small island. St. Kitts was filled with beautiful sights of the forest, both from the comfort of small, open-air buses to gliding over them on a zipline. Who said that living in a retirement community means sitting in a rocking chair? Not us!
Many new friendships were made and future cruises planned together. Speaking of future travel plans, our 2025 annual Winter Cruise is scheduled for Feb. 15 to Feb. 22, going from Fort Lauderdale to Key West, Bimini, Labadee, and Puerta Plata.
