On Jan. 31 the Road Runners Travel Club held its annual meeting at the clubhouse. Our travel partners, Simply Travel and Brandt Travel, were in attendance to give highlights of upcoming trips and to answer any questions our travelers may have had. Our new 2024 board was presented at this meeting: Bob Tastle (president); Karen Lyons (vice president); Elaine Darby (secretary); Jodie Konvicka (membership director); Sarah Ray (treasurer); Susan Parker (travel liaison-Simply Travel); Sue Davis (travel liaison-Brandt Travel); Carolann Boykin (publicity director); travel consultants Kathy Cather, Dan Patrick, Charles Stockton, and Gina Wilson; and Members-at-Large Larry Nortunen, Pat Garrett, and Ron Cates.
Highlights of the evening were a $1,200 donation from Brandt Travel to Our Daily Bread. We are so thankful for their passion to give back! There was also a champagne toast from Celebrity Cruises as a thank you for our support. Many new friendships were made, along with new travel reservations for 2024 and 2025. There are so many wonderful trips on the horizon, and we can’t wait to either sail, drive, or fly away to new and exciting destinations!
