Where else besides Robson Ranch would we have such incredible community support from so many wonderful people for our start-up year? Thank you, thank you, thank you! After our May 1 concert chorale members enjoyed a post-concert gathering, and many comments were made about how lucky we feel we are to get the chance to do what we love (sing), be challenged (improve individually and as a group) and have so many people come to hear our music (concert). We are truly grateful.
The chorale is currently on summer hiatus, and rehearsals will resume in September. We have a few open positions and invite anyone who is interested in being a part of us to contact Artistic Director Tom Miyake. There are no requirements other than a love for music, a desire to be part of a team and a commitment to accept a challenge. With maybe three exceptions, we’re all average singers who are benefitting from Dr. Miyake’s experience, his ability to bring out the best in us and his willingness to talk our language so we understand what he wants. He makes everyone sound better!
Rehearsals are Sunday evenings, 5:30-7:30, and our holiday concert is scheduled for Sunday, December 8 at 4:00 p.m. There are no dues, but we do pay for our own music.
For all other questions or to schedule an informal audition, please contact Tom Miyake at 262-3525 or [email protected].
