Robson mentors begin school year – volunteers needed

The Robson Ranch school mentors

Dave Parker

Robson Ranch school mentors began the year with strong numbers. Many individuals who mentored last year were able to mentor the same child this year as a second grader. Others received new children into the program for the first time. Each year children in every classroom hope to be paired with an adult to spend time together. The schools are in desperate need for willing adults to step forward and spend less than an hour with a child once a week. In the one hour a week you can change a child’s life. The Robson mentors can pick either Borman Elementary on Thursdays or Evers Elementary on Wednesdays. Mentors spend about an hour with a child helping them read, do math and be role models. If you would like to volunteer to be a mentor, contact Susan Parker at [email protected]. Mentors are needed in every school, and the hour each week can be tailored to your schedule. Volunteer today and change a child’s life forever!
