Marion Napurano
On Nov. 14, 60 members of the Robson Ranch Catholic Community met at the CATC building for our monthly gathering. The meeting was opened by President Rita Paxton who welcomed everyone and asked any new attendees to stand and introduce themselves. Rita then introduced her husband Brett who led the group in The Angelus prayer.
Marge Lane then spoke of the many donations she has already received, which included 218 handmade scarves made by the Robson Ranch Yarn Divas, ladies of St. Mark Parish, and many other individuals. The outpouring of donations has far surpassed what has been donated in past years. A total of almost 400 pounds of items was donated and was delivered by Marge, Mary, and John Goodpaster and John Napurano to Our Daily Bread on Nov. 15. We give our heartfelt thanks to all who have contributed to this worthy cause.
Marion Napurano made an announcement about the club’s annual Christmas Celebration, which will be held in the Lounge at the Grill on Dec. 19 at 5:30 p.m. The dinner will consist of pork tenderloin with cherry compote, roasted potatoes, chef’s vegetables, and cherry cobbler for dessert.
Rita then introduced our speaker for the evening, Dennis Pettit, who spoke of “What Does the Catholic Church Teach About the Rapture?” To say that this presentation was interesting, inspiring, and informative doesn’t even come close to truly expressing how phenomenal it was. Dennis is an amazing speaker, and every time he graces us with one of his presentations, all in attendance leave having grown in their faith. Dennis also told the group that he would be providing his entire PowerPoint presentation, which would be emailed to the group.
Susan Galbraith recited a poem entitled “‘Twas the Month Before Christmas,” and the truth of it touched each and every heart in the room. Deacon Jim then prayerfully brought our gathering to a close.
The Robson Ranch Catholic Community will hold its first meeting of 2024 on Jan. 9, 2024, in the Heritage Room of the clubhouse. Our speaker for the evening will be Dr. Juanee Surprise speaking on “Food and Drink: What Does the Bible Tell Us?” Please join us for another informative and faith-filled evening.
