Voices Gives Thanks at Friendsgiving

Michele Kibler

Voices United members have a lot of friends to be thankful for, so we joined together on Nov. 9 to celebrate our very own Friendsgiving, a Thanksgiving with friends!

Many of us get plenty of traditional Thanksgiving food over the holiday, so the Voices United Friendsgiving was a Friendship Salad Bar Buffet. Every member who participated signed up to bring an ingredient for the salad bar! The event was hosted at the home of Sara Shibley, and 20 members (the max for the event) joined in the fun.

After our salad bar dinner, we divided into two groups and played a fun game of guessing true or false facts about Thanksgiving. The contest was close between the two groups, with one group winning by just one point. The winners got to sample dessert first.

Friendsgiving was organized by the Voices United Social Committee. Members who worked on the event were Ginger Sheppard, Phyllis Ayers, Michele Kibler, Jan Lands, and Sara Shibley.

Voices United is a non-partisan group of Robson Ranch women who share progressive values, perform community outreach, provide civic awareness and social contact for members, and have a good time! We’re a 501(c)(3) group. Our annual dues are $20.
