Thomas Jensen, NSCA-C.P.T., an exercise physiologist and nutritionist, gave an extremely informative and inspiring presentation a few weeks ago, “Better with Age – How to Be Stronger This Year, and Have Less Pain than Last Year.”

The founder of Elect Wellness, Thomas talked about how we are led to believe that getting older must be accompanied by muscular weakness, joint roughness, instability and a moderate to severe dose of chronic pain. Instead he proposed and defended the point that most of our discomfort is caused by postural dysfunctions, like upper and lower crossed syndromes, brought on by specific muscular imbalances.

As both a personal trainer and natural health consultant for 12 years, Thomas Jensen now leads a team of professionals through his company Elect Wellness, providing fitness solutions to DFW residents through home-delivered personal training and nutrition coaching.

Everyone learned a lot from Thomas’ presentation. The Living Well Committee looks forward to Thomas coming back to Robson with more interesting topics for us.
