Robson Ranch Music Club concert was a huge success

Frances Hackley, Publicity Chair
The Robson Ranch Music Club performed its annual Christmas Concert, titled “Christmas at the Ranch” on December 15 and 16 to rave reviews. Patrons exiting the concert were extremely excited and complementary. Some expressed that they have been coming to our concerts every year and this one was indeed “the best ever!” They especially enjoyed the soulful rendition of Silent Night, as well as the heartwarming Noel and The Promise. Many just had to mention how much the instrumentals, which this year included strings, added to the performance. Some said a few of the songs even brought tears to their eyes. The choir only had a little over a month to prepare for the Christmas concert after the Veterans day concert, so the gracious compliments were certainly welcome and well received. We owe thanks to our director, Dr. Arturo Ortega, for getting us prepared and finding such talented musicians to accompany us. Another reason we sounded so good is our new sound system. Those of you that have been coming to our concerts may remember, that we have been raising money to get a sound system. Well, thanks to donations from members, choir friends and choir fans that was achieved. So, thank you, thank you and thank you to those of you who donated. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated. The Music club is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and survives on donations. We very much appreciate the community supporting our events and enjoying our concerts.
With all that being said, we would like to give you a heads up to coming events. Our first event is the annual St. Patrick’s Day Karaoke and dance party on March 15. Then in April our Spring Concert is on the 13th and 14th of the month. Next will be the 4th of July concert featuring the Denton Community Band and before you know it the Veterans Day concert on November 11. That will bring us right back to the Christmas Concert on December 21-22. Followed by our New Year’s Eve Party on the 31st. So, as you can see, we have a busy and exciting year coming up and we hope to see all of you at our events. Thank you again for your patronage.
