Do you have a digital camera with lots of settings you don’t use? Do you have pictures in the camera and don’t know what to do with them? The Robson Ranch Photo Club is offering a free workshop to all Robson residents on November 14 at 9:30 a.m. in Room 104 of the CATC. We will discuss digital photography technology and how to understand it and use it to get better pictures. Coverage will include cell phone cameras, simple point and shoot cameras and the more feature-filled digital single lens reflex cameras. You don’t need a high dollar camera to get and enjoy great photos using today’s digital technology. Explanations will be given of such terms as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, depth of focus and other concepts that will help you understand your camera better. We will also demonstrate simple photo-editing software that is included with your Windows 10 operating system on your home computer. Advice and file structure to help you manage your pictures will also be given. Many examples of photos will be shown that illustrate the points, many of them frames taken here at the Ranch.

Members of the Photo Club will be on hand to help you with your specific camera brand and type. The seminar will be given by club member Dick Remski, a long time picture-taker and continually learning photographer.

Come to the seminar and get started taking pictures that you will be happy to share. There are a lot of opportunities here at the Ranch to take fun pictures, and remember when you take a friend’s picture they will never be younger than in that snapshot!
