Robson Ranch Softball Association prepares for spring season

The Robson Ranch softball score board

January has been a busy month for the board in preparing for the spring season. The tasks can be quite time consuming for all involved, from calling businesses to sponsor the league, reaching new members and homeowners, or finding volunteers to get the season in full swing.

The board would like to thank the outgoing board members of 2014 for their hard and dedicated work. It is a tough job to coordinate “behind the scene” jobs and to make it run smoothly throughout the year. Thank you Derell Nicklas, Bill Johansson, Larry Studinski, Eddie Reeves, Mike Conley and Linda Kurita. Two returning board members, Bill Johansson and Mike Conley, will have the knowledge to help the new board members, Brad Killingworth, Carlos Muniz and Rebecca Cole, with the transition.

The RRSA would like to encourage all homeowners to participate in the co-ed Spring Softball League. Games will be played Monday through Thursday evening each week with Wednesday nights designated as a “fun night” for those who want to play in a less competitive game. Don’t forget there are Saturday morning pickup games just to get back in shape. If you are not interested in playing, there is still a need for announcers, scorekeepers, umpiring, individuals to raise and lower the flags, or just come and watch the game.

Registration is in progress, and registration forms can be found online at www.quickscores.com/robsonranch or call any board member.

The spring season will begin March 30 and run through May 15 ending with a single elimination tournament and free picnic May 26-May 31.

We’re eager for a successful, fun season. Our goal is to provide a fun-filled, competitive environment that supports the play of co-ed softball for all Robson Ranch residents wishing to participate.
