The House Band (host) for the May meeting of the Rock & Roll Martini Group was Deb and Larry Nortunen. Deb Nortunen, party planner extraordinaire, planned a Bourbon & Blues Party after their recent Kentucky Bourbon Trail trip. Deb and Larry rolled out bourbon meatballs, honey bourbon chicken, and bourbon baked beans. The martinis for the evening were a Louisville Slugger and an outstanding peach bourbon tea. The Rockers (members) and guests filled in with assorted appetizers and desserts. The highlight of the evening included Larry leading a bourbon tasting of three bourbons brought back from Kentucky. The music for the evening was blues artists, with a focus on those who helped cross over the blues to rock & roll. No martini glasses or screen doors were harmed during the party.
