Rock & Roll Martini Group Rocks Chicago

Dave Parker

The House Band (host) for the October meeting of the Rock & Roll Martini Group was Margot Leurig. Margo chose the classic rock band Chicago as the featured band for the evening. Chicago formed in the City of Chicago in 1967. The group began calling itself Chicago Transit Authority (after the city’s mass transit agency) in 1968, then shortened the name in 1969. The band is self-described as a “rock and roll band with horns.”

Margot spoiled the Rockers (members) and guests with a deluxe catered meal from the Wildhorse Grill. Robin Brewton supplied the ultimate s’mores menu. The marshmallows were roasted over the firepit and combined with all the s’more options. Martinis for the evening were “25 or 6 to 4 Lemon Drop Martini” and “Saturday in the Park Martini.” It was a beautiful evening to gather in Margo’s wonderful backyard around the fire pit.

Until next month, Rock On!
