The house band (host) for the November meeting of the Rock & Roll Martini Group was Jim and Cassie Richardson. Jim and Cassie picked Motown as the music for the evening. Motown is a pop-influenced style of rhythm and blues associated with the City of Detroit. Martha and the Vandellas, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, and Marvin Gaye are just a few of the great artists who came out of Motown.
Jim and Cassie served up two martinis for the evening: the pineapple “My Girl” martini and the winter “Motown” martini. They also supplied the main course for the evening of turkey and ham for the hungry guests. The Rockers (members) and guests filled in with appetizers and desserts. Until next month, Rock On!
