Rockin’ Reds Enjoy Christmas Tea and Crafts

Celia Hall

Our hosts created a fun afternoon break from our holiday preparations. We made scented sugar scrubs and bags of lavender sachet. We selected lovely patterned emery boards and made sleeves from folded cardboard to put them in. There was a selection of jewels to bedazzle them with, and we enjoyed showing them off to each other!

After our crafting, we were treated to lovely tea sandwiches and cookies. Being in Texas, we had our choice of sweet and unsweetened iced tea. The holiday fan favorite was the delicious hot chocolate and marshmallows! While we were visiting and enjoying our treats, we signed cards given to one of our hosts by the director of Meals on Wheels. These cards will be distributed along with meals during the holiday season to spread a bit of joy throughout the county.

The afternoon left us with good tidings of comfort and joy and readied us for the weeks ahead as we decorated our homes, planned our menus, and prepared for the upcoming holidays.
