On March 14 over 50 members of the Robson Ranch Catholic Community met to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the home of Susan and Deacon Jim Galbraith. Their home was decorated to the hilt with balloons, centerpieces, and all things green, which would make any Irishman proud. There was a drink station, an appetizer station, main course table, and, of course, a dessert station. Many thanks to Susan and Jim for opening their home to all our members for this wonderful celebration.
Prior to everyone digging into all the delicious selections, Deacon Jim offered a blessing. Following the blessing, Jim reminded everyone about the trip being planned to the Holy Land in September. If anyone who was not at the social wishes to receive more information regarding the trip, please reach out to Susan or Jim for more information.
Next, Joan Bridges took the floor and advised everyone that there would be an election at our April gathering for new officers and encouraged anyone who might be interested in taking over any of the roles to let her know. Joan also told the group that our speaker in April will be Matt Gill, speaking on “The Power of the Pentecost and the Infant Church.” Be sure to mark your calendars for April 11 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Robson Ranch clubhouse.
This gathering was also a time of giving. Marge Lane opened her trunk, and our members opened their hearts to the needs of Our Daily Bread clients. Our Daily Bread had an immediate need for blankets, sheets, pillows, and towels, which our members graciously donated, filling Marge’s entire car with donations.
As always, everyone had a wonderful time catching up with old friends and meeting new friends and, again, many thanks to the Galbraiths for opening their home to our RR Catholic Community.
