The Robson Ranch Democratic Club stood strong with the Denton County Democratic Party at the LBJ/Obama Dinner, its annual fund raising event. The evening’s theme, “This is Our Moment,” was driven home with inspirational speeches by party officials and candidates. Keynote speaker, Ron Nirenberg, shared his experiences as a child born to immigrants surrounded by cultural diversity. After a successful business career, he deepened his involvement in his local community becoming San Antonio’s longest serving mayor. He knows the meaning of hard work, perseverance, and commitment to community.
Our Democratic Party Chair built on this message. “This is Our Moment when we are called to do more than simply witness what is happening around us, but are called to act. Our moment to organize. Our moment to build. Our moment to defend the dignity and freedom of our neighbors. Our moment to elect leaders who understand that public service is about people, purpose, and the promise of a better future.”
Denton County Democrats are ready to get our hands dirty with some “good trouble” over the next several months leading up to the mid-term elections. Come help push us through to the finish line.
