Reindeer, snowflakes, Christmas trees, and stars—it was beginning to look a lot like Christmas on Nov. 18 for the Sassy Stampers who attended the last card project class for 2023.
The business meeting included updates on committee activities and voting on the new board for 2024. The nominations were all approved in that JoAnn Gantos, Debbie Warrick, Vie Knouse, and Bobbie Witt are taking the wheel and will be steering us in the right direction for 2024. Currently, there are 83 members on the Stampers roster, of which 30 to 40 attend the monthly meetings.
JoAnn Gantos and Debbie Warrick, current president and vice president, presented handmade gifts of neck warmers to all the volunteers and project leads for 2023.
We welcomed the new visitors and guests and are excited that they will be joining our club for 2024. The drawings were held for the crafting gift cards for those who volunteered for this month’s set-up, take-down, door greeter, and anything else that was asked of them, and for anyone who brought cards for the Sassy Stampers window in the Creative Arts & Technology Center (CATC).
This month’s holiday card was brought to us by Denna Barber just in time for Christmas card mailing season. There were many parts that were already cut out, so Stampers only had to awaken those creative genes and focus on the front design—coloring and placement of hanging stars, placing some furry friends of reindeer and squirrels, Christmas tree and stars and sentiment, and the embossing of the snowflakes on the inside of the card. After all, living in Texas, we must get our snowflakes any way we can.
The card was a big success, and several of the table teachers shared how this card could be adapted to a different occasion card.
The holiday party for Stampers took the place of the December meeting. The holiday party was on Dec. 9 and was filled with fellowship, food, laughter, and gift exchange, complete with the three steal rule.
Stop by the CATC and check out the big spotlight window next to the library. Sassy Stampers Jean Euker and April Bayne will do an excellent job of sharing many Christmas cards made by this creative group.

The Stampers version of “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” is “It’s the Month Before Christmas,” and we start settling in for the long Stampers nap and put away the ink pads, stamps, die cuts, and embellishments and clear off the crafting table and use this time to spend with friends and family.
On behalf of Stampers all around the Ranch, we hope your blessings are many at this holiday season, and we look forward to seeing you and sharing with you what awaits the Sassy Stampers Club in 2024.
