The Robson Ranch Drone Special Interest Group (SIG) meets the fourth Monday of each month (except August and December) starting at 7 p.m., at the Creative Arts and Technology Center, room 104. We invite all with interest in any drone related topics to attend.
Our March 22 meeting was hosted by Steve Simpson (club officer). The presentation covered the topic “Show Us Your Stuff.” Attendees were encouraged to show and tell about drone related accessories and technology. Member presentations included a selection of over 27 accessories including Steve’s DJI clock style clear dome case with circular lighted MINI/MINI 2 charging base (causing the mounted drone to glow). Other favorites were a 3D printed strobe mount, various strobes, motor caps, camera filters, tablet mounts, portable carrying cases and various pieces of support equipment and accessories. Pros and cons of weight and bulk versus utility were discussed, even benefits of classes on the internet. Our meeting was wrapped up with a preview sketch of DJI’s upcoming Mavic 3. Our April 26 meeting will feature our second member spotlight hosted by Steve Simpson. Please join us each month! The Drone SIG has no dues or membership requirements other than owning or having interest in anything related to drones.
