The Singles Club celebrated its third annual Halloween party on Wednesday October 31 at the RR Clubhouse. There were 115 members attending who enjoyed a joyous evening of food, music, costumes and festivities. Chef Aubrey provided his usual great buffet featuring baked potatoes, chili and other toppings, a salad and some wonderful brownies for dessert. Music was provided by the Stewart Brothers, one of everyone’s Thursday night favorites at the Grill, with their blend of classic rock and some country. A highlight was the costume contest.
Winners were: first place Peggy Beyer, Joi Wilson, Tracy Cook and Caryn Galderisi with their interpretation of a club sandwich; second place, Fran Norris and Reis Alsmiller a well-known TV commercial; third place, Jackie Drain and Stan Bugala depicting the game Mexican Train. A great time was had by all.
Earlier this fall, in September, the club chartered a bus for a trip to the annual Grapevine Winefest. The bus was full and everyone had a great time enjoying food, wine and the other activities and exhibits.
The Singles Club participates in many varied social, cultural and community service activities throughout the year. We meet every Tuesday to “Mix and Mingle” at the Grill from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in learning more about the club stop by to see us there.
