Sixth annual Robson Ranch EggFest benefits Patriot PAWS

Shirley Johnson

EggFests are held all over the U.S. as a celebration and appreciation for the Big Green Egg grill and all of its cooking versatility! This gathering of “eggheads” is a place to see an egg in action and talk with “master eggheads” to learn new and exciting cooking techniques and recipes.

Support Our Troops is a proud sponsor of the annual EggFest. Dinner is served on the patio of Chuck and Shirley Johnson’s home, with the dog presentation and desserts held at the home of Gary and Carol Pniewski each year.

This wonderful cause brings so much quality to the lives of many people. Dogs are donated to Patriot Paws. As young puppies they go to the women’s prison for early training then to volunteer handlers that will take them to many different environments. From there the dogs go to the Patriot PAWS training headquarters in Rockwall, Texas to begin specific training to find their service home.

The dogs are acquired, trained, and provided to wounded warriors in need. The cost to provide one dog is in excess of $20,000.

Many thanks go to the volunteers that make this worthy event take place.
