Spring semester classes announced

New year, new courses! Robson Ranch Texas has a partnership with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Northern Texas to bring residents opportunities to rediscover their passion for learning. Taught by accredited UNT faculty members, these courses designed for adults 50 and better, foster a community of intellectual spark and social engagement.
Three membership options are available and offer residents, as well as the public, access to a variety of classes, incredible UNT libraries, events and activities as well as the opportunity to attend local, national and abroad trips led by UNT faculty members. Memberships last for three semesters, fall, winter and spring, which means that members get a full year of enrichment opportunities whenever they register! Courses have no prerequisites, no tests or mandatory assignments and no grades. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute exists to bring together passionate people with a common goal.
The 2019 spring classes began on Tuesday, February 5 and are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Residents with memberships can attend classes offering a wide variety of interests. Fascinated by nature? Enroll in courses like Precious Metals and Stones or Geology of the National Parks. For the artists of the community, get creative in a class like Writing A Novel: An Author’s Toolkit, Music at the Movies or West Dressed – Fashions Inspired by the American Frontier. History lovers can travel through time with classes like Texas During WWII, The Week That Made the Civil War Inevitable or Origins of Civilizations.
