Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone, and with the help of all the Robson Ranch Golf Associations, along with the Classic Car Club, and many others including the Robson Ranch Golf Pro Shop, it was little merrier Christmas for hundreds of children who are hospitalized this holiday season across our great state. Specifically, the annual Young Heroes of the Texas Guard Toy Drive exceeded all expectations! Last year we packed a pickup truck with over eight hundred donated toys for boys and girls. This year was awe inspiring, as the generous hearts at Robson Ranch donated enough toys to fill up two pickup trucks and a trailer. There were just too many toys to count, from homemade dolls, to trucks, to bicycles, to games and art sets. The list could go on for days. It was very special to see such giving hearts, especially considering what all of us and the children have been through this year.
The toys were donated by so many people and organizations too numerous to list, and we are grateful to all the folks who donated money or their time to this wonderful cause. However, a very special thanks needs to go out to several of Robson Ranch’s own for spearheading this great event—Larry Alford, and our Head Golf Pro Craig Pullen. Thanks guys!
The goal of Young Heroes of the Texas Guard Toy Drive, which is run by the Chaplains of the Texas State Guard, is to bring some happiness and encouragement to every child who is hospitalized or disadvantaged across the state of Texas during the holiday season. Major David Isbell of the Texas Guard sends his thanks to everyone who participated.
