On Aug. 16, Texas Tech Red Raiders and Red Raider fans rallied at the Wildhorse Grill for a social event to hear updates from Texas Tech Alumni Association (TTAA) CEO and President Curt Langford. The event was hosted by the Texas Tech Alumni Association and Robson residents Jeff and Kim Klotzman.

Curt provided updates on Texas Tech University’s development and spotlighted many of the incredible and meaningful centennial celebrations held across the state. It has truly been a year of celebration and giving as Texas Tech University celebrates its 100th birthday.

In addition to the celebrations, Texas Tech has set an ambitious goal of one million hours of volunteerism and service during 2023. All Red Raiders and fans are invited to join in giving back to Texas Tech by volunteering. Hours can be logged at 100.ttu.edu.

Curt also provided updates on Texas Tech Alumni Association’s growth and significant impact with alumni engagement and academic enrollment support. “The Texas Tech Alumni Association exists to connect, inspire, and love our Red Raider Family. We envision our members living their legacies of pride, loyalty, and tradition. It was great seeing longtime friends and making new ones at our Robson Ranch event. We’re excited to establish a dedicated alumni chapter within this community where so many Red Raiders reside, and we look forward to even more getting involved,” explained Langford.

Curt told the group that TTAA has 95 chapters across the globe. Chapters are an extension of the TTAA in the geographic areas they serve and are vital to the overall success of the alumni association. Alumni chapters promote Red Raider pride and support the mission, values, purpose, and goals of the TTAA and the Texas Tech University System. TTAA takes pride in strengthening the TTU brand by bearing our banners far and wide. All Red Raiders and fans are invited to get involved and belong to something special.
