The Ranch celebrates July 4th with music

With a rousing opening of the National Anthem followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and an enthusiastic rendition of Deep in the Heart of Texas, the Denton Community Band kicked off their July 4 concert. A large audience of Robson Ranchers ended their celebration of our country’s independence by attending this enriching concert. The Denton Community Band has been in existence since 1976 and under the capable direction of Conductor Carol Lynn Mizell for all of that time. Their annual patriotic concert, sponsored by the Robson Ranch Music Club, has become an annual tradition here at the Ranch. Each year veterans are recognized for their contribution to maintaining our Nation’s freedoms with the Salute to the Armed Forces Service songs. The concert provides everyone the opportunity to sing along with some well-known patriotic songs, to express gratitude for our freedom and to do a little flag-waving.

Other upcoming events sponsored by the Robson Ranch Music Club are karaoke night on Friday, August 21, and the start of choir practice beginning Monday, September 14. Ticket sales for karaoke will start Monday, August 10. Later in the fall, Robson residents can let their creative sides emerge with their costumes for Scareyoke night on October 30. The choir presents their annual Veterans concerts on November 11. The Christmas concerts are scheduled for December 19 and 20. The Music Club closes out 2015 with their annual New Year’s Eve dinner and karaoke party on December 31. Watch the message board and HOA bulletins for ticket sales for all of these activities.
