The Robson Ranch Dance Club held the Maui Magic dance on May 14. The Robson Ranch ballroom was transformed into Hawaii with the room filled with the colors of the islands with beach inspired table decorations, lighted palm trees, and the popular photo spot. Each guest was greeted with a lei as they entered. Many of the guests were dressed in colorful Hawaiian attire. The dance floor was filled from the first song to the last with music provided by The Grooves, a very popular band from the area. The band received many raves about their sound and their ability to play a wide variety of music including pop, classic rock, line dances, and country western. Everyone seemed happy to be dancing again.
The Dance Club gives a big thank you to our sponsors: Portofino’s Italian Restaurant, Henry Evans – Dance Instructor, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Robson Ranch residents Vicki Baker and Phyllis Ayers for a wine basket with painted wine glasses. The lucky winners were: Julie Bailey, Anne Owens, Bob Elliot, Rob Pryor, and Royce Rampey.
Mark your calendars for the next Dance Club dance “An Evening in Paris” to be held in the clubhouse ballroom on Friday, Aug. 13, with tables for ten. Music will be provided by D.J. Joel Morris, who will keep dancers on the floor with nonstop music. Future dances include “Boots and Bling” on Sept. 25 (tentative date), and “Turkey Swing, Shake Your Tail Feathers” on Nov. 13.
