If the Wildhorse Golf Course is closed on a Wednesday, you can bet the Wildhorse Lady Niners will pack their golf bags and hit the road. This time we traveled to North Richland Hills’ Iron Horse Golf Course. Forty-eight members braved I-35W rush hour traffic for a 9-hole round that was definitely worth the trouble. Texas summer is hot, but mature trees on this course helped provide shade and a comfortable golf day. The staff was extremely kind and professional.

Coming in first on this long, challenging course was the foursome of Diana Warner, Yvonne Callaway, Jami Snell, and Carol Land. In second place were Carol Rumberger, Mary Ann Wood, Janet Rogers, and Betsy Schuermann, and in third place were Lisa Bradburn, Kathy Cooper, Christie Cochran, and Patty Scott. All winners received a sleeve of balls. Lunch after golf was at BJ’s.
