The 89th Texas Legislative session is now underway! To show support for our District 64 House Representative Andy Hopper, two members of the Conservative Women of Action (CWA), Machelle Burtless and Julie Greenawalt, traveled to Austin in January. They visited Representative Hopper and his staff at the Texas Capitol on Jan. 14 as newly elected members of the legislature were sworn in and began their work for our state.
Armed with pulled pork sliders and a variety of drinks and snacks, our members were there not only to provide food and refreshments to the hundreds of people who arrived to participate in Representative Hopper’s celebration, but also to show support for our elected officials. The business of governing a state as big as Texas is daunting, and the Conservative Women of Action will be working to help in any way we can!
