Robson Ranch residents who are members of the African American Social Group, Voices United, Pilot Knob Rotary, plus families and friends united for a night out in Dallas to enjoy an entertaining and moving performance of HENOSIS, a concert presentation of the opera Porgy and Bess.
HENOSIS, from the Greek word meaning “mystical unity,” is an annual concert sponsored by the High Art Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships and funding for young people who are interested in music careers.
The opera Porgy and Bess featured the Nashville African American Wind Symphony, world-class acclaimed opera singers, who are members of the Divine Nine fraternities and sororities. David Ford, a Robson resident, sang with the chorale. Prior to the opera, we were gifted with performances from a 13–year–old concerto pianist, a 16–year–old amazing guitarist, and two teenage sopranos. Kudos to NaGuanda Nobles, famed opera singer, the High Art Foundation founder and her husband, Kirk for this epic annual event.
Vicki and Scott Baker, Kate Woods, Jackie Ford, Lettye and Nate Albert, Tiffany Ramzy, Bob Bailey, Elma and Ken Henson were among Robson’s residents attending the Porgy and Bess opera.
