Let’s be positive and discover what is happening in the world that is good and beneficial, concluded the Voices United Tuesday Discussion Group as they wrapped up a year spent exploring important issues together.

In 2023 the group, which assembles six to ten members for a monthly session, learned that there is much good news to report for the environment, in the economy, and in our personal lives.

Here are a few examples:

1) According to experts, we have 100% of the technologies that we need to reduce carbon emissions; we just need to concentrate on bringing costs down;

2) Inflation has receded from 8.3% to 3.2% in 2023; and

3) Cultivating an active inner life by seeking compassion, forgiveness, and altruism changes our DNA and is correlated with fewer hospitalizations, less disease, decreased depression, and substance abuse.

The Tuesday Discussion Group is comprised of members of Voices United, a club for progressive women. The group enjoys visiting and discussing issues of the day. We meet monthly in members’ homes.

Voices United is a non-partisan group of Robson Ranch women who share progressive values, perform community outreach, provide civic awareness and social contact for members, and have a good time! We’re a 501(c)(3) group. Our annual dues are $20.
