Voices United Participate in Book Discussion

Elaine Kushmaul

The Diversity in Action sub-committee of Voices United sponsored a book discussion on July 28 in the home of Elaine Kushmaul, who also moderated the discussion. The book was Mad Honey written in tandem by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan. Picoult is known for writing about social issues, and this book delves deep into the world of LBGTQ. No spoilers here, but we had a lively discussion and came away knowing that we had learned something new and feeling that we had more understanding for people who may be different from us, but who have as much right as any of us to be respected and considered a person of worth.

Voices United is a non-partisan group of Robson Ranch women who share progressive values, perform community outreach, provide civic awareness and social contact for members and have a good time! We’re a 501(c)(3) group. Our annual dues are $25.
