Voices United Women’s Group December Update

Nancy Wendt

Voices United is a group of women from at Robson Ranch who share progressive values and are concerned about current events as they affect not only our local political landscape, but also our state and national government. We are also dedicated to community outreach and helping those in need regardless of their political or religious affiliations.

Voices United meets the first Saturday of each month for a lunch meeting consisting of committee updates, conversations about ongoing concerns, and sharing of progressive ideas as they pertain to our group. We also have speakers and visitors from our community to keep us informed about various events and charities that we are involved in. This past year we partnered with Meals on Wheels, Interfaith Ministries of Denton, and Ignite, to name a few. Our last meeting in December entailed review of our 2020 committees and sign-up sheets for the overall membership to volunteer their assistance. Voices United committees include Public Relations, Community Outreach, Caring, Social, Discussion Groups, and Political Action.

2020 should be better than ever with a growing membership and a social committee that will deliver some fun social activities. These activities will provide for some ongoing fun and fellowship that will solidify our friendships and help us keep our positive, forward-thinking outlook on how we can make our world a better place.

Voices United Women’s Group looks forward to welcoming new members. For more information about Voices United, please contact Tracy Olson at [email protected].
