Beautiful and flawless? Nah! Strong and imperfect? You bet! Women have always been the bedrock of every aspect of our lives. March, designated as Women’s History Month, is the perfect time to express our gratitude and forge closer relationships with women. It’s a time to recognize the achievements and contributions of women to our shared history, culture, and society, as well as within our smaller communities, our neighborhoods, and our workplaces. It’s a time to acknowledge, applaud, and commend the women in our own backyard.

Over 120 women are employed at Robson Ranch, working in every department, in every capacity—HOA office, golf maintenance and services, landscaping and common grounds maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, sports and fitness centers, food and beverage services, guest services, and architecture and landscape management. These women work tirelessly and oftentimes in the shadows. But their efforts do not go unnoticed.

Voices United recently honored the contributions of these women and celebrated the richness and diversity of their achievements. On March 30 RR woman employees were invited to an afternoon of recognition. Voices United members presented each with a gift bag filled with beautifully gift-wrapped, spa-quality facial products, a bag full of home-baked cookies, and a bookmark depicting influential women, past and present.

National Women’s Month is a perfect occasion to celebrate the women around us, but the effects of the month can go beyond March. Voices United encourages everyone to share your gratitude for the women in your lives year-round. Take a moment to reach out to the Robson Ranch women, but also to your mother, your spouse, your sister, your best friend. Extend a heartfelt thank you for the ways they have shaped your world.

Women’s history is our history, and we are stronger by each other’s side. It’s undeniable—we all have a Wonder Woman within us. When women are supported, incredible things happen, but we must look ahead at what can still be accomplished. If you’re interested in joining a group of Robson Ranch women who share progressive values, perform community outreach, provide civic awareness, and enjoy a good time, visit Voices United on the first Saturday of the month at 11:30 a.m. in the clubhouse.
