When we come to a door (or window), we have a choice. We can open it, close it, walk by it, walk through it, bang on it, paint it a bright color, or ignore it.

“When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.” —Alexander Graham Bell

The Paint & Palette upcoming exhibit titled “Windows & Doors,” features art that explores the beauty and symbolism of these architectural elements. These features symbolize not just entry points but also the many opportunities and decisions that characterize our lives.

The door theme has long fascinated artists for their symbolic significance and aesthetic appeal, and we can’t wait to share our interpretations with the Robson community. Members of the Paint & Palette Club have been diligently brainstorming imaginative window and door artwork that embodies their sense of self. We look forward to sharing our work!
