Continuing growth

The 111th position on the roster of the Wildhorse Lady Niners was recently filled by Judy Trueblood. Judy and her husband Joe moved to Robson Ranch from McKinney but are originally from Missouri and Indiana. They came to “The Ranch” because of close proximity to DFW Airport, golf and the lifestyle. Judy is in the group of a select few “left-hand golfers” and has been playing for eight years. When asked why she joined the Lady Niners, she replied, “To get acquainted with other female golfers and to have fun.”
The Wildhorse Lady Niners (WLN) has experienced continued growth since the group formed and is currently ten percent above last year’s membership roster at this same time. “I’m very pleased with the continued growth, which supports the need for a ladies 9-hole group,” commented WLN President Jane Thompson. When asked what she attributed the growth to, Jane replied, “WLN growth is the result of marketing, networking and 9 is the new 18.”
The Wildhorse Lady Niners golf organization was established for all levels of players to enjoy a nine-hole game, with play days scheduled for Tuesday mornings. Whether you are new to the game, getting back into the game after a period of time off, or prefer playing a short game for fun, the Lady Niners golf organization is here to fill your need. Quarterly general meetings (luncheons) are hosted at the clubhouse, special tournaments take place throughout the year and the organization participates with Children’s Advocacy Center of Denton County as well as other charities.
