Wildhorse Lady Niners Partner with Denton Hearts for Homes for Holiday Charity Project

WLN Communications

For the fourth year, the Wildhorse Lady Niners (WLN) chose Denton’s Hearts for Homes as their holiday charity. This organization helps low-income seniors in need of housing repairs and other assistance. Each Christmas, community organizations are asked to donate food and non-food items to help fill seniors’ pantries. The need this year was especially high because of the COVID-19 virus spread and competing organization needs. The Niners quickly got to work and donated over 600 food goods, over 650 non-food items, and approximately $500 to the Christmas project. Niners President Jane Thompson, Vice President Janie Farnsworth, and members Virginia Wheeless and DeeDee Karabetsos, spear-headed the project.

The Wildhorse Lady Niners is a golf association that plays nine-holes on Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m. throughout the year. If you are interested in learning more about the WLN, contact Megan Wiegand at [email protected].
