Women Sharing Hope’s October gathering brought together a vibrant community of like-minded women at Robson Ranch for a truly heartwarming and thought-provoking gathering. In the spirit of introspection, Cindy Haugen’s emotional narrative, “Why Me,” delved into the challenges of her youth and the remarkable resilience that led her to triumph over adversity. Her inspiring journey served as a powerful reminder that our past struggles and our faith mold us into stronger, more resilient individuals. Chary Horton also spoke about the Women Sharing Hope fellowship and how she appreciated the opportunity to join us.
Two of our vital ministries were highlighted, showing us the exceptional work being done within our community. Deena Barber, leader of the Hold My Hand Ministry, shared insights into her compassionate efforts to assist women grappling with the complexities of caring for a loved one. Her empathetic approach, rooted in personal experiences, has provided invaluable support to numerous women in similar situations.
Additionally, Theresa Peoples provided an update on the status of our Prayer, Praise, and Play (PPP) groups. We have four groups now, with more being formed. These gatherings offer shared prayer, uplifting praise, and engaging monthly outings. From exciting escapades to cultural explorations, the groups have enjoyed diverse activities, including escape rooms, disc golf, high tea, visits to the Cowgirl Museum, the Van Gogh exhibit, and strolls through the enchanting Dallas Arboretum.
