Here in Texas, we are not sorry to see the summer go, as long as it takes the triple-digit temperatures with it! As we look forward to cooler weather in coming days, we also look forward to more opportunities to support the Robson Ranch Women’s Club fundraisers. This year the Women’s Club will be hosting the Homes for the Holidays Tour. This is a favorite among Robson Ranch residents, and as a fundraiser, all proceeds go to the club’s chosen charities. The tour is open to (adults only) residents, their family, and friends.
This year the Women’s Club has six homes on their Homes for the Holidays Tour. All are decorated beautifully for your viewing pleasure. Please save the date of Sunday, Dec. 10, from 3 to 6 p.m. to enjoy the homes here at the Ranch. Opportunities to purchase $25 tickets are from Nov. 17 through Dec. 8, from 9 to 11 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in the clubhouse. Invite friends and family to join in the holiday spirit with you. During the tour, there will be $10 Wine Pulls at two of the homes. An added benefit is brought to you by getting your bottles of festive libations, all the while giving to the needy.
Here are a few highlights of what you will see during your Holiday Tour:
Stars, and lots of them, big and small, but the focus is the Star of Bethlehem outside one of our homes. Inside, unique features include a snow village tree (built and designed by the owners) and a travel tree with ornaments from around the world, collected from the owner’s various travels.
This unique home will be on the tour with every room decorated in a different theme. All the items are individually hand placed, allowing bows to be tied in different, creative ways. As people come to this house each year, nobody has the same favorite. It is always fun for the homeowner to come up with new themes.
Another true lover of this time of year is on the home tour this year. Each room is decorated and includes their nine themed trees! You will get into the spirit at this home. Don’t miss the “bubbly” snowman or the family keepsake jewelry tree!
A home of collectibles and treasures will be found on the tour with a Christmas village, with each piece in the village having its own special story. For example, a police station was bought as a tribute to the owner’s 34-year career. The barber shop honors the owner’s late dad who was a barber by trade. The Woodbridge Post Office is one of their favorites!
There will also be a home with the family’s nativities and Santa collections, a Western-decorated guest room, a Grinch study, and much more.
Also, there will be an eclectic display of traditional favorites, fun and unusual themes, as well as lifelong collections of all things to celebrate the season.
What a fun way to get into the “spirit” and support very worthy endeavors! Proceeds of the Tour benefit Our Daily Bread Together with Monsignor King Outreach Center.
See y’all there!
