Women’s softball has made its way to Robson Ranch! Every weekend there are twenty-nine amazing Robson Ranch lady athletes battling it out on the Field of Dreams. These twenty-nine women are divided into two teams, one sponsored by Proscapes Professional Landscapes and the other by Quick Roofing. If they aren’t busy playing each other, they are eagerly hosting other women’s teams from exotic places like The Wildhorse Grill, The University of North Texas and The Texas Coalition for Animal Protection. The brainchild of long-time co-ed player, Steve Targonski, this inaugural season of the Women’s Division of the Robson Ranch Softball Association was designed to encourage a spirit of friendly competition and inclusive play among women athletes here at the Ranch. We are only a couple of games into the season, but already we have seen some sparkling defensive plays, a little bit of power at the plate and lots of strong aggressive running on the base paths. If you haven’t had a chance to come out and catch a game, we’d love to have you join us. On Saturday morning, May 18, Proscapes will face off against Quick Roofing at 11:00 a.m. Then on Sunday afternoon, May 19, at 5:00 p.m., Quick Roofing will once again take the field against the ladies of the Wildhorse Grill. Come join the excitement, cheer on your fellow Robson Ranchers and see what women’s softball at the Ranch is all about.
