Many Yarn Divas had a fun field trip July 24 to Fiber Circle in Farmersville, Texas. Fiber Circle has been in existence for 12 years. It is purported to be the largest yarn shop in North Texas, over 3,000 square feet of yarns. Fiber Circle carries gorgeous yarns for knitting and crocheting in every price range from Noro, Universal, Cascade, Colinette, Feza, Ella Rae, Kraemer, Brown Sheep, Katia, Juniper Moon Farms and much, much more. The store carries unique novelty yarns for scarves and accessories. After spending a delightful time picking out yarn for our next projects, we dined at Venetia’s, an Italian restaurant, for a delicious lunch. The Yarn Divas use the yarn to knit and crochet items for personal projects and to donate items to various charities annually within the Denton Community.

In 2017 we have donated the following:

Texas Presbyterian NICU and Clinic: 186 baby caps

Texas Presbyterian NICU and Clinic: 15 baby blankets

Denton Oncology: 25 chemotherapy hats

Friends of the Family: 12 lap blankets

The Yarn Divas meet every Tuesday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Come join us for fun whether or knit, crochet or do needlework and cross-stitch.
