CATC Spotlight Window for August: Robson Ranch Woodworkers

Joni Matthiessen

Every month in the Creative Arts and Technology Center Building, there is a special section in the display case featuring various works from different groups who “play” there. The month of August featured the Woodshop and there were several pieces created by several different woodworkers on display. Our window was absolutely beautiful with such unusual items. Larry Ditch made a perpetual moving calendar and added a clock in the middle; located on the top shelf. You really need to stop by and see it! I also want to talk for a moment and give special thanks to Sue Wells. She happens to be on our board serving as secretary, and also enjoys arranging our creations. Whether she is making a display for our for-sale window, or our best of the best window, she has such a knack for getting things just right and making our windows look especially beautiful! If you stop by, take a peek at the upper right shelf and notice the band saw boxes with the unusually shaped, functioning drawers. Sue made the one shaped like a butterfly and JoAnn Bostwick made the other two. These gals both make the most beautiful boxes with such curves and lines; it still amazes me the creations they continue to produce! Stop by and see what all is happening in this most fun place at the Ranch!
