The Robson Ranch Music Club is sponsoring the New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance here at the Ranch. Why not let this celebration be your last party of the year as well as a bright and promising way to begin the New Year? You certainly won’t find a better location just minutes from your front door and surrounded by your neighbors and friends. The event will feature a buffet dinner, a cash bar, and a champagne toast at 11 p.m. On the buffet, to the delight of your palate, chicken breast with sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls and butter, pre-sold wine and the ever-popular chocolate lava cake. The club is also very excited this year to have a live band at the party for everyone’s enjoyment. The Young at Heart Big Band will be performing throughout the evening. They are a fifteen piece “big band” with trumpets, ‘bones, saxes, and a rhythm section that has been performing at dances and concerts in the Denton area for 20 years. Several of the musicians are Robson Ranch residents. Talent abounds here at the Ranch. I tell everyone it is like living inside Pinterest. The band has a substantial array of tunes from the ’40s to the ’80s on their playlist. You will hear all your favorites as well as old standards of rock, jazz, country, and more. It’s the music you know and love to dance to, like, “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”, “Feelings”, “New York New York”, “Night Train”, “Hey Jude”, and “Georgia on My Mind”, just to name a few, all done in arrangements to get you on your feet! Which is just what you will need to do after you have grazed at the buffet anyway! This particular band has played here at the Ranch three times now, each time to rave reviews. Some comments from attendees were, “sensational”, “marvelous”, and “can’t wait till they come back”. Music will also be provided during the band break for those who like to line dance. So, bring your partner or come on your own to join your friends and neighbors for a very special evening. Most of all make sure you aren’t the one that misses out on this celebration. Your friends need not live here at the Ranch to join in the festivities. The date is Tuesday, Dec. 31, (New Year’s Eve), 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Tickets are $65 per person and go on sale Dec. 9 through Dec. 20, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the lobby of the Clubhouse.
