15th annual Member/Guest Round-Up Highlights

Dennis Anderson, MGA Communication Director

The 15th annual Robson Ranch Texas Men’s Golf Association Member Guest Roundup was held September 6-8.

The MGA Committee spent countless hours preparing for this premier opportunity to showcase our Robson Ranch Community and all of the great features to our guest participants.

Seventy-two teams of Robson Ranch MGA members and their guests enjoyed three days of golf and fellowship on our beautiful Wildhorse Golf Course. The entire staff of the Golf Course and Grill did a fantastic job of setting up the course and providing great meals and entertainment.

At registration all participants were given a gift bag which included a Foot Joy Wildhorse logo shirt, a golf valuables bag and a gift certificate to be used at the Remote Pro Shop set up with Calloway Golf and Foot Joy merchandise.

Friday activities started with a breakfast buffet before golf and a Shot Gun start. A ladies’ luncheon was held with information on wine with a wine tasting. Following the days golf there was a scoring party on the Grill Patio with light food and beverages. A chipping competition for the men was held and for the ladies a “Putting for Diamonds” qualification.

Saturday the weather did not cooperate; we started with a breakfast buffet and then because of a rain delay we were not able to get a full 18 holes in and the tournament was shortened to a 27-hole event.

Saturday night a cocktail hour started the evening followed by dinner and dancing. Sixty plus special door prizes were awarded and the finals of the ladies “Putting for Diamonds” was held. The winner of the diamond earrings was Lea Ann Kirby.

All participants and guests were invited to attend an after party at the Grill.
